My attraction to houndstooth and tweed is still going strong. It sparked the idea of creating a tweed plush kitty. Since it’s just a few days before Christmas, I decided to take photos of it with my tree.
Tweed is known for being moisture-resistant and durable, so this kitty is ready for all types of outdoor adventures. I also knit it a scarf for additional warmth.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to things with houndstooth, wool, and tweed. I recently bought a pair of wool, plaid slip-on vans. . . they’re super cozy and comfy! 
Maybe it’s because winter is in full effect and those fabrics represent warmth. Whatever the reason, I was inspired to create a mini kleenex cover. I also thought it would make a nice holiday gift for my cousin, who always carries kleenex in her purse. I can always count on her if I need a tissue. Made with love for Nacho. . .
I used a houndstooth wool fabric for the cover, pleather for the bear applique, and buttons for the eyes.

My friend Lisa just sent me these photos of her baby boy, Joaquin, sporting the onesie I made for him. Pretty cute!
I made these drawers for a gift quite some time ago, but never got around to showing it: spearmint green, orange sherbet, bubble gum pink, and indigo make for a very festive ensemble. hee hee.
Quite a few of my friends are having babies nowadays. I designed this onesie for my buddy Alex’s baby boy, Elvis.
My dear friend Lana- The Gardenista, brought me this amazing orchid that just so happens to complement one of my latest plush cat designs.
We had a little photo shoot. . .
I made this kitty out of a velour-like fleece. The color reminded me of wasabi, inspiring me to make a headband for it. Now it can be karate kitty, sushi kitty, or maybe even tae bo kitty. he he!
The headband is removable too, for those who aren’t feeling it. I gave it a hot pink mouth because pink and green is one of my favorite color combinations. Happy Spring!
I’ve received a lot of requests to create a dog version of my plush cats. This one was made in honor of my favorite – Carl Carlson Lamb.
He’s made of soft lamb skin leather (his last name is Lamb. he he), ultra suede, and a few other special details.
I thought I’d make a larger version of my plush kitty.
In case the other one might want a friend, bodyguard. . . two’s company, right?
